Guest Ambassador - Portland

Hopscotch is looking for hospitality professionals, students, hosts, guides, creative types, actors, waiters, comedians, dancers, retirees etc. If you love to talk and engage with people and are passionate about being a part of a team that provides a great customer experience to its guests then you will be a perfect fit for Guide / Ambassador. You must be reliable, have no fear of strangers, love to put smiles on people’s faces and take on challenges with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Hopscotch brand with integrity and enthusiasm.
  • Perform and deliver a script to over hundreds of people a day.
  • Engage and entertain visitors and help to enhance their experience.
  • May check in guests, greet guests, work the merchandise area, be assigned various exhibits etc.
  • Set-up and close down assigned exhibits / rooms.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the station and overall space at all times.
  • Work cooperatively as part of a team and independently.
  • Interact with customers to provide top notch service.
  • Engage and entertain, be photographed and socialize, take photographs.
  • Describe installations with enthusiasm while also monitoring them to ensure they aren’t tampered with.

Assistant General Manager - San Antonio

The Assistant General Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for working with a diverse team to support day-to-day operations
(exhibitions, admissions, guest services, retail, F&B, and overall venue management).

A successful candidate loves to work with people, demonstrates flexibility to support their team and is truly committed to helping staff achieve professional and organizational goals while working quickly, efficiently and enthusiastically in a high- volume, high paced environment. Experience scheduling, and managing a large team of staff is mandatory. Must have regular weekend availability and be excited to work in a creative and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations to ensure a safe, comfortable, unique, and memorable experience for all guests.
  • Assist with exhibition maintenance, development, and fabrication when necessary.
  • Work with the General Manager and department leaders to execute and audit day-to-day operational plans.
  • Understand, maintain and implement policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs and adjust as necessary with company evolution.
  • Identify staffing needs, facilitate recruiting and onboarding, schedule the team and fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Respond to and field private event leads to help oversee group event bookings to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Work across all departments in supporting the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes to consistently deliver services to brand standards.
  • Oversees productivity of direct reports and communicates any challenges with the leadership team.
  • Maintains rigorous corporate standards in aesthetics, guest experience, personnel management, and all other aspects of the business to create a positive and consistent guest experience from start to finish.

Retail Lead - San Antonio

Hopscotch is looking for hospitality and retail professionals who are concentrated on growing sales and who act as an ambassador to the local artists and unique selections offered in our shop! If you love to engage with people, are passionate about all aspects of a retail store, and enjoy being a part of a team that provides a great guest experience, you will be a perfect fit as our Retail Lead. You must be reliable, have no fear of striking up conversation, familiar with all items in our shop, able to manage inventory and item ordering, love to put smiles on people’s faces and take on challenges with enthusiasm.

We are looking for someone with previous retail experience who is well versed in all aspects of sales by guaranteeing that inventory is clean and organized, maintaining product parts and reaching sales goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Represent the Hopscotch brand with integrity and enthusiasm.
  • Work alongside the General Manager to interview and hire new retail staff.
  • Oversee the training schedule and training execution of all retail associates.
  • Work closely with the Retail Manager to curate local items and showcase local artists for the store.
  • Work with the ARM to drive KPIs and reports across the brand.
  • Drive 5 star online reviews through guest engagement and encouragement.
  • Manage inventory on a weekly basis to ensure proper replenishment orders are placed in a timely manner.
  • Engage with guests as they are shopping around the HopShop, with guests passing through the shop by using key talking points to promote sales and average spend per guest.
  • Creative and ambitious personality who helps drive the sales within the Hopshop, along with relaying new ideas to the General and Retail Managers.
  • Follow inventory, stocking and merchandising display guidelines in order to meet our branding guidelines and standards of Hopscotch.
  • Follows direction well, takes initiative in completing tasks provided by the Hopscotch Leadership team, while also taking initiative to anticipate the needs of the shop.
  • Provide store and departmental insight related to the customer experience and communicate to the General and Retail Managers.
  • Is familiar with all products that are offered in the Hopshop in order to utilize key talking points when engaging with the guests.
  • Work cooperatively both independently and as part of a team.
