Ursula Zavala

San Antonio’s own, in the featured gallery, April 22 through October 13, 2026.

About the artist

Ursula Zavala makes art for two places at once. Working as Acidwinzip, a name handed to her by an internet subculture name generator in 2016, she moves between digital collage, painting, textiles, and screen printing with a restless, genre-defiant energy.

A painting by Ursula Zavala: an explosion of coloured strokes between a checkered sky and a checkered floor.
Close detail of an Ursula Zavala painting: thick strokes of pink, teal and yellow above a gray checkered band.
Ursula Zavala paintings hung in a row along a white gallery wall, a projection glowing at the right edge.
The Ursula Zavala featured wall in San Antonio: bright paintings either side of a large projected checkered pattern.
Hanging the Ursula Zavala exhibit: a person in a pink-trimmed cap presses a painting to the wall beside a projection.
