GAZE

Move through illuminated acrylic panels and words of encouragement, acceptance, and support, surrounded by joyful music. Created with the Human Rights Campaign.

The Human Rights Campaign envisions a world where every member of the LGBTQ+ family has the freedom to live their truth without fear and is treated as a full and equal citizen at home, at work and in every community.

GAZE transports guests into a world that encourages them to see beyond their own experience and into a future that is full of light, love and acceptance for all. A programmatic array of rainbow lights shines on and through designs etched into illuminated acrylic panels. The shifting colors make for an ever-changing and layered experience which mirrors that of the ever-changing exterior world.

About the artist

The Human Rights Campaign is the largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization in the United States, and GAZE is what happens when an advocacy group decides the message might land better as an exhibit than as a pamphlet. In HRC's words, "Changing hearts and minds is the first step toward advancing equality."
