A chandelier of red light over the Portland entry. Look up first, check in second.
Medusa hangs where Hopscotch Portland begins: looping red light sprawled across the ceiling, every tendril going its own way at once. Most people walk right under it looking for the front desk. Look up first. It earns the name: one look and it freezes you in your spot. Todd Moyer and 11 Dimensions built it for this doorway.

About the artist
Todd Moyer traces his whole career to the eighth grade, when he combined a shop class project with his home stereo and a string of Christmas lights and built himself a disco. He grew up in the first digital age, learning to program on an early Hyundai 80286 PC, and roughly 30 years later the impulse is the same: take the technology and turn it into something people can feel.
